Yes, all main entrances at 50 Foster Street are available for access (Doors 11, 12 and 13) and are accessible entrances. Door 13 provides for a quick, unobstructed access and is available for all ticketed events. The Box Office has an accessible entrance at Door 9.
Accessible tickets may be purchased in-person, by calling the DCU Center Box Office or online through Ticketmaster. The DCU Center provides for both wheelchair accessible seats, limited mobility seats, hearing impaired seats and visually impaired seats. While Ticketmaster may be more convenient, we encourage you to contact the Box Office to obtain the greatest amount of information about your alternatives and to reduce the cost of convenience fees.
Generally, there are fourteen viewing areas designated for accessible seating in sections 102, 103, 104, 106, 108, 110, 112, 113, 117, 118, 120, 121, 123, and 125. Additional limited mobility seating is available in various other sections depending on the specific event. All price levels are available in accessible seating while supplies last.
Generally, depending on the size of the party, price and availability of seating, we try to keep everyone in the group in the same area. Up to three companions would be sitting right beside you – depending on availability at the time of purchase. The rest of your party may be sitting in the row in front of you, or someplace else as close as possible. We do everything possible to keep families together.
Limited mobility seating for guests with disabilities that are not confined to a wheelchair is located throughout the lower level of the Arena. These seats are easily accessible and require less than four steps to reach them.
Electrical Outlets are available at many of our accessible seating areas. Please contact the Box Office at 508-929-0164 in advance for your ticket purchase to ensure you are located in one of these areas. Otherwise, please inform a DCU Center team member when you arrive and they will assist you.
Upon request, we will provide an Assistive Listening Device for you, free of charge, to be picked up at the Box Office when you arrive at the event, or we can provide a sign language interpreter. Both require a minimum of one-week advance notice. Please contact the Box Office at 508-929-0164 for additional information.
Under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), a Service Animal is defined as a service dog that has been individually trained to do work or perform tasks for persons with a disability. Service dogs that are trained to provide services and tasks for guests are permitted in the DCU Center. Support or companion animals, and other pets are not permitted. Guests with service dogs may not take up additional seats unless a ticket has been purchased for the adjacent seat for the service dog.
Arenas, such as the DCU Center are public facilities that host events such as concerts, sporting events, and family attractions. It’s very common for events to have bright or flashing lights along with using speakers during the event to amplify sounds and acoustics. Should you or someone in your party require a quiet space to rest or take a break, please visit the Box Office Advance Ticket Window located across from Section 125. You may also request assistance by seeking out the nearest DCU Center team member.
Guests are not allowed to bring outside food or beverages into the DCU Center. We offer several concession items that are Dairy-Free and Gluten-Free. If you or your guests have special dietary restrictions, or a medical condition, please email our Guest Relations department prior to your visit.
Although the DCU Center does not operate any parking, the City of Worcester has made accessible parking available on the Foster Street side of the arena, and in front of the Convention Center on Major Taylor Boulevard. In the City of Worcester, A handicap placard allows you to park in a handicap designated space and at any on-street metered/pay-by-plate parking space without paying. All other on-street parking restrictions must still be followed, including Prohibited Zones, Tow Zones, Commercial Loading Zones and Passengers Zones. There is also accessible parking in the garages and lots surrounding the venue.
